There’s something about being outside that just makes everything feel easier.

Kids don’t feel like they have to sit still. Parents don’t feel like they have to force anything.

It ends up feeling a lot more like just being together than being “in a photoshoot.”

This session was exactly that.

What This Session Felt Like

We met up right before sunset.

The light was soft, the kids had space to move, and nothing felt rushed.

Dad had their little one up on his shoulders half the time, mom stayed close, and their daughter just moved in and out of everything naturally. There wasn’t really a moment where anyone had to stop and “get it right.”

It just happened.

If You’re Worried About Your Kids

I hear this all the time.

“What if they don’t listen?”

“What if they won’t sit still?”

They don’t need to. Outdoor sessions aren’t about getting everyone perfectly posed.

We move, we walk, we let things unfold a little. I’ll guide you the whole time, but nothing is forced.

What to Wear

Keep it simple.

Soft tones always photograph really well outside. Creams, light neutrals, anything with a little texture.

Nothing too busy. Nothing you have to overthink.

Family photos don’t have to feel stressful or perfectly put together.

Sometimes the best ones come from just letting go of that a little and being together the way you already are.
