The process
STEP 01
inquire
Milestone sessions take place either in my Blue Springs studio or outdoors at sunset, depending on the look you’re drawn to. Each session is designed to be relaxed, natural, and centered around your child. Please allow up to 1–2 hours so there’s plenty of time for outfit changes, breaks, and letting your child settle in comfortably. I’ll gently guide the session while also leaving space for real moments to unfold. Fill out the contact form to receive session and pricing details.
STEP 02
booking
I recommend reserving your milestone session about 4–6 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially for weekend dates.
Collections begin at $1,100, with a non-refundable $450 retainer due at booking to reserve your session on my calendar.
STEP 03
Planning
During the planning stage, we’ll talk through the vision for your session and the feeling you want your portraits to hold. I’ll guide you in selecting simple, timeless pieces for your child, along with anything you’d like to incorporate for yourself. Keeping everything soft, minimal, and centered on connection.
STEP 04
Session day
Your milestone session is designed to feel relaxed and unhurried, whether in the studio or outdoors at sunset. We’ll move at your child’s pace, allowing space for breaks, movement, and natural moments as they unfold. Family images are always welcome if you’d like to step in for a few moments together.
STEP 05
receive your gallery
Within in approximitaly 2 - 3 weeks of your session, your portraits will be carefully edited and delivered in a private online gallery. From there, you can view your images, choose your collection, and download your photographs directly from your gallery.
A fully guided session
I’ll guide you in choosing what photographs beautifully, with simple, timeless pieces for your child and soft, minimal options for you.
If you have something specific in mind, I’m always happy to help source it and bring your vision to life.
Wardrobe Guidance
Every moment is gently guided so you never feel unsure of what to do.
At the same time, your connection is always welcomed and encouraged. The most meaningful images happen naturally.
No rushing
Milestone sessions typically last up to 1–2 hours, allowing plenty of time to move at your child’s pace. We take breaks as needed and never rush the process. Your child’s comfort always comes first.

When should I book my child's session?
It’s never too early to reserve your session. I recommend booking about 4–6 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially if you’re hoping for a weekend. I do my best to accommodate last minute requests when I can, but my calendar tends to fill quickly.
What ages are milestone sessions for?
Milestone sessions are for children of all ages, not just babies. While the most common milestones are around 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year, these sessions can be used to document any stage as your child grows. Each age holds something different, and these sessions are designed to preserve those moments as they are right now.
Where is your studio located?
My studio is located in Blue Springs, Missouri, near Highway 40 and Highway 7.
Can parents or siblings be included?
Absolutely. You’re always welcome to step into a few photos. These moments matter just as much as the milestones themselves.
What if my child is fussy or not cooperating?
That’s completely okay. I follow your child's lead and allow time for breaks as needed. Some of the most meaningful images come from simply letting them be themselves.
Do you offer cake smash sessions?
Yes, I do offer cake smash sessions. They are kept simple and timeless, with the focus staying on your baby rather than an overly styled setup. If you have something specific in mind, you’re always welcome to share your ideas and I can help guide the vision.
When will I receive my photos?
Your final images are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks after your session. I take great care in editing each image to ensure it reflects the quality and artistry you deserve.
