For this particular session, we kept the styling incredibly simple.
Black dress. Minimal environment. Intentional lighting. No elaborate props competing for attention.
And that's what allowed the portraits to feel so strong.
The black dress creates a beautiful silhouette, but it doesn't overpower the photograph.
Instead, your eye goes to her face.
Her posture. Her hands. Her belly. The curve of her body. The way she's holding herself.
The photograph becomes about her.
Editorial doesn't mean you have to know how to model. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about editorial photography.
You might look at an image and think:
"I could never do that."
You absolutely can.
You don't need modeling experience. You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to know what to do with your hands. You don't even have to feel particularly comfortable in front of a camera when you arrive.

I'll direct your positioning, hands, posture, movement, and expressions throughout the session. I'll make small adjustments as we go so you don't have to stand there wondering what you're supposed to do.
